I haven’t written anything for some time now. I’ve been busy at work and at play. It seems to me that I discover new things about teaching every week, students are getting more and more involved in their own learning, and for most of them, during, or after a hard day’s work, it’s no easy job.
The teacher is a bit like Dracula in a way, she feeds off your energy. Hopefully you feed off hers too! I love the circularity of the lessons, the way one idea sparks off another!
I’ve also been listening to great music too. At la Scala we saw “Fin de Partie” by Kurtag. An emotional work, which demands concentration, but repays it too.
